Tacoma throttle question

My friend just purchased a 2017 Taco TRD Pro. He is paralyzed, so the first thing he went to do was install hand controls. I wasn't there to help him, but based on the pics he sent he had to remove the lower dash which involved disconnecting some of the plugs for the wiring harness over by the e-brake.

Now he's got everything back together and even though the truck starts, pressing the accelerator does nothing. He says there's no warning lights on the dash and everything else seems to be working fine.

Since Tacos and 4R's are quite similar I thought somebody here might be able to help. I know in my 5th gen many of the wires by the e-brake go to the secondary fuse block, so hopefully it's something simple like a bad fuse or a sensor that needs to be reset due to things getting unplugged.

EDIT: Solved. I told him to leave the negative battery terminal unplugged for at least 15 min and check the ETCS fuse. He did both of those things and now it's working fine (fuse wasn't blown, but sometimes just taking it out/putting it back in does the trick.)
