2008 Tacoma Coil over shocks

Would these fit on a 07 sr5 runner?
If so how hard would they be to put on and I just installed a day star leveling kit (2.5"/1.5") would I need to take this off? Will these give me more of a lift if I do or just I nance the off-road capability? Should I not waste my time with these and actually get some good real shocks and coils?


Also if I purchased this rola roof rack

Would I need to get the extender on it too? I don't want it to look small on the top of my runner but I don't want it looking overly big! I don't know what the measurements in the roof of the runner is and I'm not around to go measure!

Fronts are good, rears need new bushings. I've got 09 taco shocks waiting to be installed on mine and used these bushings.

Fronts would fit fine, probably have to take off the daystar up front, would give you less height, but probably pretty good ride quality, I know [MENTION=87687]LTDSC[/MENTION] ran them for a while. He probably knows better than I do. The rear shocks only work if you change out the lower bushing, I did run a set of those for 10k miles.

i ran the Tacoma struts with a 2.5" leveling kit. Worked great and gave me great height.

Doing this setup got me about 4 inches of lift in the front and 2 in the rear with the taco swap

Did you use the Tacoma shocks on the front and the rear? Do those shocks work alright with the added lift? Thinking about going a little higher than just the 1.5" front lift from the Tacoma struts but don't want to over extend the shocks

The taco swap will steady give u an inch of lift alone or so.. If u go any higher than what I have u will need to step it up to an icon package or somthin like that.. U need to get different upper control arms.

The thread is over 2 years old since the last post. It's probably going to be a while before the OP sees it.

I did the Tacoma parts swap and some FJ rear springs and got about 1" in the front, maybe 3/4" in the back. I'd like just a bit more lift/clearance too so I'm considering a spacer lift on top of those parts. I've been reading a variety of threads trying to figure out how far I can go without needing to swap out UCAs.

Anything over 2" and you should replace the uppers otherwise you won't get proper caster adjustment when having it aligned. You want 4* caster or as close to it as possible. I can tell you at 3" with stock uppers I got 1* and that was maxed out.
