I generally like the black ones. The chrome / staineless ones are a little too flashy for my taste although they do look good on silver IMO. BTW, since you wanted to do a poll there's a way to actually create a poll where people can vote, just click on the little button for creating a poll when you're creating a thread.

I am torn about tail light guards. I deffinately don't care for chrome but as far as the others, it depends on the vehicle and the type of guards. In Stinger_Audio's case, shown here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1730 I think they look really good. They match the brush guard perfectly. I know they aren't functional, as they wouldn't take a full impact but they look great and I think that is what a lot of people are after.....good looks.

Dude, that was a little spat 2 months ago. It was ended with a determination that whatever the owner likes for his/her 4RNR is fine.
Personally, I don't like tail-light guards or nerf bars, but that's me. DeMello sliders are the way to go along with Manik or Westin brush and bumper guards (depending on what Safari's stuff will look like). If you have the money, then JAOS your ride up by all means!

Bad News
No man. The Army is sending me to Korea again, and I will be without my family, 4runner, and guns for a year.
This will be my 5th year in Korea, combined with 6 years in Europe, 6 months in Haiti, 3 Months in Panama and 3 months in Kosovo....
After that, one last year back here and retirement!!!!!

The pictures aren't that good resolution, but I think that they are more form-fitting than the taillight guards by Manik or Tal & Hadas. I emailed the company with the following questions:
1. Will the above product fit my vehicle?
2. How difficult is the installation?
3. Do you have any better quality pictures?
4. If I get a group of people together that all want the guards, can we get a discount?
5. Is the price listed of $141.79 for 2 guards (1 for each tail light)?
6. Finally, how much would shipping be to California?

Bingo. Take your pick: accent, trim, garnish.....but definitely not designed to be a guard. Then again, it doesn't sound like the guards offer much protection either.ToyotaDoodz said:
My JDM chrome tail light garnish is about to get aboard a boat in Japan. The ticket price was $169.00 shipped. Some may say that that is a lot to pay for a chrome covered plastic sticker, and I would agree with them. But I like em and decided to plunge ahead and be a guinea pig.
As has been said by other members, Steve Ganz from Carson Toyota is getting all my business from now on. I really appreciated the speed and ease of the process. Granted, now I have to be patient for the long unavoidable trip from Japan.
