gahh after i put in my tinted tails, i started working on my stock ones and tried and tried with screwdrivers and anything to crack and yank that orange piece out, trd_style saudered his out.

yea you can put them in the microwave for a little while and they should loosen up. I did it with a set of Honda headlights a few years ago... I forgot how long I nuked em' for though. Wasn't long I remember that.

if you put them in the oven (which is common practice for light modders), just make sure you have a second set in case you overcook them. :D

gahh ok well after relisting and relisting my OEM tails on ebay for $29 i decided im going to toss them in the oven and tear them apart and see what i can do.

now when they go in the oven, can anyone give me a temp or time and what am i suppose to be getting off? the whole outer shell?

and how do i get them back on? just glue or what?

i would try 150-175 for about 15 minutes

ehh i tried it today and it kept cracking when i tried to pry it off, i did 200 for about 7 minutes.

instead i took a hole saw and cut around the slotted circles where the bulbs lock in and took the orange pieces out and im going to try and spray paint the insides leaving either a thin line open in each chamber or a circle in each chamber on the face of the light so that will shine through when i brake as thin lines or circles.

ill snap some shots when i get off work tomorow to show my progress so far.
