Tailgate inop.

My tailgate won't open on my 05. It closed OK but when I went to open it nothing happens.

Any ideas?

happened to me before. Take it apart and wiggle the connections on the wiring harnesses, one of them has some play and can pop out even though it is still clicked in.

I unhooked the battery for 20 minutes and hooked it back up. The tailgate works now.

Weird.

Never heard of that band.

The tailgate problem turned out to be a tailgate control module. There is a TSB out concerning this unit on the 03 through the 05 models.

Disconnecting the battery also clears the memory on a few other things. Check this thread for what needs to be reset and how to do it.
