Open the tailgate and take off the interior panel. Make sure the window is up. Remove the plastic lining, and look where that trim panel would be. (you can see the lock cylander from the inside) there are 2 nuts holding the lock cylinder on, remove those. There are 2-4 (dont remember how many exctly) holding the trim panel on. Remove those. Close the trunk, and pull the panel off. You will then need to unscrew the license plate lights, and the tailgate opener handle thing.
I did this about six months ago. On mine there was lines that showed what to cut out, yours probably has that too. I went a little narrower than what it showed, but had to go past the line in the front, all the way to the edge almost.
