I've searched the forum but haven't seen this one yet:
Facts:
The rear window doesn't move if using the key fob, key in tailgate or by the switch. The motor gets 12V and makes a noise, but nothing moves.
The rear wiper and washer work, and the wiper parks itself at home position when off.
The rear defroster turns on, lights up the switch at least, for only 10 seconds then a relay clicks it off. Will not stay on.
Everything I've read on here says that all problems with tailgate functions are interrelated, so here is my question:
Will a shorted defroster circuit inhibit my tailgate glass from moving or is a broken/seized window regulator or limit switch somehow inhibiting rear defrost?
