I have a 2006 SR5 V8 that just rolled over 200k miles. I have a laundry list of expensive items that need to be replaced soon... both front CV axle shafts, both lower arms for ball joints, new tires, and new brakes all around.
It pains me to spend $3k on a vehicle that is worth only $6k or less.
It's been a really great car though and very reliable up to this point. But I get it... things start wearing out after 10 years and 200k miles. FYI the water pump and timing belt were done at 180k.
So what do you think? Do the repairs because it will go another 100k? Or cut my losses because this is just the start of many repairs?
