Tampa Area Off Road Trip

Would anybody be interested in a day trip in the Tampa area. I've really wanted to check out Hard Rock or just head to Citrus or Richloam.

I've been hitting up Citrus by myself lately but it would be awesome if a group could get together and head up there.

Post here if you may be interested and we can try to plan a day that works for everyone.

Sounds like fun I'd be extremely interested. However I'd prefer it be an easy course on my vehicle because it is my daily and I am a newbie when it comes to off-roading and I don't want to hurt it. I'd also have to persuade my dad into letting me do it because he is against me off roading in it But I'm pretty sure my 4Runner can handle it.
 
Bladerunner, I definitely want the 4runner to make it home in one piece also. Just take it as slow and easy as you need to and the 4runner will do just fine. I'll check my calendar, post a day, and yall let me know what works for you. I'm pretty flexible as long as I've got off work.
 
I have a buddy with a lifted 5th gen that may tag along if we get something put together. Would be my first time on trails also, so it could be a slow day...
 
I should be off every Sunday in the month of February. Let me know if you guys have a date in mind. I definitely want to get out, at least for a day trip or something.
 
I am game for a trip, I just need a firm date to try to make myself available. Let's do this! Also I am in Plant City, maybe those South could meet up and ride up together when ever we do this.
 
The best weekends for me coming up would be the weekend of Feb 6th and then the weekend of March 3rd. I'll be off fri, sat, and sun of those weekends. That February weekend may be too short notice to get something together, so March could be better. Post up here if either of those work or if some other date would be better for you.
 
hey y'all, anybody still interested in a trip in the next couple months. Throw some dates out there and see if anything works for a few of us.

As a side note, I'm gonna be making a trip to Citrus on Wednesday. I'll probably be going alone but if anybody wants to meet up and head up there, let me know.
 
I'm down for any weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun), but I'd most likely have to take my FJ (4Runner is only 2WD.....). Live in Orlando, so It'd be a little bit of a trip.
 
So why is all of my time being eaten up with things i don't want to do! March is turning out to be a rather busy month so if you guys do get together i might not be able to make it! Keep the thread alive and post up something solid for a date and time guys!
 
Started this thread over a month ago but now hopefully setting a date. Sorry for being a bit flaky, my work schedule has been jacked up recently and I'm also planning a wedding.

I'm thinking March 28th or 29th. Either of those work so just wanna see if anyone else has a preference. I'm thinking head out as early as everyone can manage so we can be sure to be back on the pavement by sunset.

As for where we go, there are plenty of choices. I've been wanting to try Hardrock ORV park. I've heard it's not too rough but it will cost $20 to get in, also I have no idea how busy it is on the weekends. Citrus and Ocala are both alright, a bit too easy in my opinion but plenty of exploring to be done and will present no problems for a stock truck. I know some folks love Richloam, but I personally don't like it. Really swampy and ruts make many areas impassible. Definitely intimidating for anyone, and I don't want anyone hydrolocking their truck.

So, there it is, make suggestions as to where y'all wanna go and we can count up who will be there. Once we get a count we can hammer down some details, like where we're meeting up.

Not 100% but I might be able to do the 28th. It all depends on when we celebrate my wife's 30th. :wacko:
 
I might be able to do the 29th would it be okay if a couple buddies of mine tag along. Possibly a stock xtera and a jeep?
