Taping/Knocking Noise on Deceleration

Today, after not driving my Runner for a few days due to the Flu , I got to drive around town. After driving for a few hours off and on, I was headed home and noticed as I slowed down at traffic lights or for cars in front of me turning, there was a tapping/ticking sound coming from the engine compartment. If you have read my Runner's timeline, you'll know that my motor does have a piston slap. It doesn't quite sound the same as what i'm talking about now. It only happens going from 40 to about 25 mph decelerating. If I had to guess what the tachometer was reading, Id say somewhere around 3500 to 2000 rpms. Didn't watch the tach that much. Anyone ideas of what it could be?

I was able to get this video a few mins ago. Tried to get it with the hood open and camera close to the motor. but it was too noisy and you couldnt here the ticking. its really hard to hear on the vid. i recommend headphones. lol

Bump... drove it to school this morning. it seemed a little worse. 20 min drive. so it had enough time to warm up. its making me nervous :/

Since it makes the noise by just reving it I would open the hood and rev it by hand at the throttle body and see if you can tell where the sound is coming from.

I've been hearing a lot from you lately kball. haha. i used a screw driver and listened in on it. coming from the top end. sounds like the valves. im gonna take it in and look at having a valve adjustment done. Im just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this same type of noise on the 5vz and what it turned out to be.
