I ordered my powerstop 2324 kit with the 13WL calipers.

I then ordered the StopTech 950.44007 for the front (both came with female fittings that both spin) and Stoptech 950.44510 for the rear (only one came with one female that doesn't spin and one long male end that doesn't spin)

1. I thought the 4R with VSC had two rear lines.
2. How do these attach to the calipers with the female fitting?
3. How does the rear attach since it doesn't spin to allow for threading?

I want to get all this figured out before I undertake this project because time is limited.

There is only one rear line. It's right above the scope housing. That's the one you are replacing. And if you have a lift. I recommend bending the tab that holds the rear brake line.

Models without traction control have a single rear line. Models with should have two. There's also a small hard line with male fittings on each end that goes between the flex line and the caliper.

Well mine's an SR5 so it has traction control I assume. It has the VSC, is that what you're talking about?

The female end goes over the male fitting.

The rear brake line threads into the union on top of the differential first. That is the one that is fixed. Then you finger tighten the top fitting. Final torque and install the retaining clip. You can bend the bracket as mentioned to avoid over extension of the rear line if lifted.

This all makes more sense when you're in there instead of assuming. It's a simple swap. Can't help you on the dual rear lines, check your truck out and go from there. On the front it's a hard line that threads into caliper, then the ss line (new front brake line) fills the gap between the next hard line, both have male ends and 10mm flare fittings.

Well mine's an SR5 so it has traction control I assume. It has the VSC, is that what you're talking about?

Traction control is year based, not trim based. '01-'02 = yes, earlier = no.

Did you crawl under your 4runner to see if it has one rear line or two above the rear axle? That will be the best way to find out if you have the correct line.

Only 01 & 02's have duel rear lines.

Yeah I have an 02. I haven't looked and I'm kinda busy with other projects. Just planning things out now. I was just confused bc my kit came with one line for 40 bucks not two. The front was 38 bucks for 2. Just weird
