TE owners with JBL

I will be trading my 2010 TE/KDSS for a 2014 TE premium/KDSS.
I will be losing my JBL system. Got me wondering how many TE's with JBL are out there?

I may be wrong but i think the JBL comes with the tech package where you can stream entune via bluebooth, where i have nav and entune, but i have to have my iphone connceted via cord for the entune apps to work...

the sticker you posted says the audio system is JBL with entune. Looks like you'll still be JBL equipped.

I've got the JBL system in my runner and it sounds really good. Unless they added entune to JBL systems after 2011 I think they're seperate systems. Fwiw Mine streams Bluetooth but doesn't have entune. Although I will admit the SAT signal is terrible

2011 TE with the JBL, here. It certainly doesn't compare with the focal system I'd moved from vehicle to vehicle for a while, but it certainly counts as one of the better stock systems I've heard.

Mine has it. It's one of the reasons I bought it in the States. They didn't offer it in the Canadian Trail.

mine has it. that invoice looks familiar.

i was impressed with it at first, but the longer i listened the less enthusiastic i became. i've since replaced 6 of the 8 speakers (not including the sub). also note that i'm not counting coaxials as "2" speakers, which is how Toyota arrived at its "15 speaker Premium JBL Audio" malarkey.

it's a decent setup for an OEM system, IMHO; neither best nor worst. a bit too keening and indiscriminate in the highs to my ears.

Can you tell me what brand of speakers did you use to replace the 6 JBL's..
And was it a real improvement in your opinion. A had a chance to listen to the 14's NON JBL and thought it was not as good as my out going JBL system. So I will probably switch them out when my new 14 TE arrives.

i did the Infinity Kappa 329cf in the dash (like many, many have) and used the mid-woofers from a JBL 608C component set in the front doors. in the lift gate i did Polk 651 coaxials. there is no question that it sounds way, way better but of course even though the OEM system used cheap components it was über-tuned to work together and by changing things you, well, change things. it sounds fantastic LOUD. :guitar3:

take all this with a big grain of salt, however, bc i'm still using the factory amp which, while not the most clean and powerful, is still better than the non-amplified factory head unit. i'm not clear on exactly what you're getting in your 2014...
