I've got the JBL in my TE, it works pretty nice. Doesn't bump like some other systems, good enough to entertain the kiddos.
I will be trading my 2010 TE/KDSS for a 2014 TE premium/KDSS.
I will be losing my JBL system. Got me wondering how many TE's with JBL are out there?
What year is you TE?
2014, but now that I think about it, I may not have it. :brick: I'll have to check. Its my wife pavement pounder.
the sticker you posted says the audio system is JBL with entune. Looks like you'll still be JBL equipped.
mine has it. that invoice looks familiar.
i was impressed with it at first, but the longer i listened the less enthusiastic i became. i've since replaced 6 of the 8 speakers (not including the sub). also note that i'm not counting coaxials as "2" speakers, which is how Toyota arrived at its "15 speaker Premium JBL Audio" malarkey.
it's a decent setup for an OEM system, IMHO; neither best nor worst. a bit too keening and indiscriminate in the highs to my ears.
i did the Infinity Kappa 329cf in the dash (like many, many have) and used the mid-woofers from a JBL 608C component set in the front doors. in the lift gate i did Polk 651 coaxials. there is no question that it sounds way, way better but of course even though the OEM system used cheap components it was über-tuned to work together and by changing things you, well, change things. it sounds fantastic LOUD. :guitar3:Can you tell me what brand of speakers did you use to replace the 6 JBL's..
And was it a real improvement in your opinion. A had a chance to listen to the 14's NON JBL and thought it was not as good as my out going JBL system. So I will probably switch them out when my new 14 TE arrives.

take all this with a big grain of salt, however, bc i'm still using the factory amp which, while not the most clean and powerful, is still better than the non-amplified factory head unit. i'm not clear on exactly what you're getting in your 2014...
