It finally happened, the guy I work with has let it out what has been bothering him about me. It basically comes down to I am not a team player. His definition of a team player is to offer to the other guy, go ahead and leave early, then the next day or week you leave early and etc.
I told him I am not here to act how you want me to act, I do my job and I do it well. You cannot fix something I come and help, I cannot fix something you come and help. But because I do not offer you leaving early or me living early he is all up and arms about that. The way he was acting and talking he was acting (sorry ladies) like a little girl that did not get her way.
I do not have many friends, but the ones I have we help each other out. So I am not here to make friends with anyone: so you will not find me sucking up saying here, go take off. Another thing he brought up, many weeks ago I was sick as a dog, bending over, freezing, and he offered me to leave early. I thanked him and left. Yes, I would do the same, but because I did not do it when he was feeling well he is all upset about it. The guy is so sensitive and I thought I was sensitive. I must be some what sensitive to let it out by sharing with you and the world. But here it is. It just cracks me up how we work with people that expect this and that from us, and if they do not get it they are mad. People the world is not going to always go your way, just adapt. I would love to leave early, but I need to work with someone continously and for awhile before I build that type of relationship that I say, okay today you take off..
Today was the best for the so called manager of our job gave us the choice to leave early because of the snow. Well I do not really care for I have a 4 Runner and driving in the snow I find as a real joy, but the dude gave me the choice and then got all upset because I did not offer it to him. But I decided not to leave either for I thought that would set him off too. You can't win with this guy: oh well.
