Tek23’s 99 4Runner

Hey crew,

I haven’t officially introduced myself or my T4R to the boards yet so here you go…

I picked up a 1999 T4R with factory locker and 96k on the clock in December of 2014. The truck still had it’s original plugs and wires so I spent some time and money bringing the everything up to par.

Long story short, it’s been nothing but a delight since the day I purchased it. I took my time searching for a clean 4Runner and i’m glad I did.

I also wanted to add that you guys are definitely more outgoing than most forums (past and present) and are truly insightful in many ways. It makes building my truck that much more enjoyable.

Anyway, on to the good stuff…

The weekend I bought it

I'll give some love. Welcome and rig looks nice. Good start to a build. I kind of skip over the build threads and hit up the technical questions more often.

Plastidip the lower grill all black and added laminx to the bumper lights over the weekend. I think it turned out pretty good.

Really like that black on the lower part of the bumper. Adds really good contrast, wish mine wasn't black so I could do that! haha

lol thanks man. I felt like the front needed a slight change. I'm happy about the way it turned out.

I was debating on throwing some laminx on the fogs too but felt like it may be overwhelming. I keep blowing the yellow fogs, so I might reconsider if the Nokyas fail too.

Yeah I like how you did the black on the bottom grill. I blacked out that whole fat lip. But I think I like this a little better. Liking the build so far
