Tekky's Build!

A little bio on myself, I've always been into cars ever since I could remember. My first car was 1997 Honda civic, spray bombed
white, lowered, rims... I was all about hondas. They'll always have a place in my heart ;).

Since then I went through multiple vehicles, majority of them being hondas, but I ended up with 2002 4runner badlands edition.
I got into wheeling through some friends that were into this awesome hobby. I went out a couple of times, but nothing to crazy that a stock truck couldn't go through.
Then I went out with a club/association within my city (Calgary, AB). This trip was the deal breaker for me, I didn't have much knowledge
about wheeling other then going out bombing through mud. Well that wasn't the case with these guys. It was winter when I went out,
We all met up at the chosen location Waiporous, AB. People were airing down with there deflators so I decided to do the same.
I borrowed a gauge from another fellow, I aired down to what I thought was 12 PSI and off we went.

Everything was great up until we approached this huge freaking hill. I made several attempts up it, but no go. On my final attempt the 4runner
was pulling hard left. I thought to myself "This isn't right." I peeked out my window and I blew the bead off of the rim. Turned out I used a bad
tire gauge, I was actually aired down too 6 psi :driving:. Who needs bead locks? So at that point I was embarrassed and just wanted to get through this
trip and sell the damn thing and go buy another lowered car.. Which I did. Another reason why I sold it, is because at the moment my mentality
was I couldn't imagine wrecking such a expensive vehicle (I was 17-18 at this point). Off I went with a couple more rice rockets, and ended it
with a Yamaha R6. The original plan was to buy something I could tow my bike with to the track, and it had to be reliable.

I went off and bought a 2 gen 4runner, but that damn thing was a gas guzzler, god damn. A wheeling trip came up, and I was all over
it. Told the girlfriend we were going and the rest was history! Broke the front locking hub that's all.. That day I had SOO much fun I decided I
wanted a keeper, something with LESS rust. I hate rust.. Dealt with it enough with those Hondas 1/4 panels.

My first baby.

So this is what I ended up getting! I made this thread to share my pride and joy. Also to get ideas/opinions. Enjoy guys.

When I first bought her.

Poser flex shot.

Not to long after, the mod bug bit me. TJM 9000lbs Winch Synthetic Line

All-pro Sliders. I ended up spraying them with rattle cans :P. Just so I can touch them up easily..

Side profile, Originally I found a really good deal for SCS wheels but that deal fell through. I thought the Tacoma rims would look good!

My birthday was right around the corner, and my girlfriend asked me what I wanted for my b-day. I got a set of 2001 tail lights and the TJM Air-compressor!

A week after my birthday, I decided to get my sliders welded on by a friends cousin. He owned a muffler shop and said he has done sliders before. So off it went to the shop. This is what i came back too... :'(

Obviously he hasn't done them with kick-outs. FML. They're getting put back on the right way tomorrow morning!:lalala:

I had the vehicle for the weekend before it went back into the shop. I installed a B&M transmission cooler. Finally, that thought of the milkshake is gone. Changed the fluid as well.

A few shots for the hell of it.

That is all for now.. Hopefully the slider are dealt with tomorrow and don't have to drive around looking like an idiot for those
who know how they are suppose to be mounted.
