So I'm here in central Florida where we have seen upper 90's with all the humidity you can imagine and then some. I am running a scanguage II and constantly track my water temp and ATF temp. I have a tranny cooler installed and about 119k miles, original trans and engine.
In stop-and-go traffic I'm seeing water temp shift between about 198-203 degrees, trans temp likes to sit around 185-195 in really bad traffic. On the highway trans drops to around 155-160 and water to 193. I feel like my highway temps are alright, but the stop-and-go is a little worrying to me, especially the trans. I'm not sure the previous owner ever did a trans flush but it's a fairly new radiator with about 12k miles on it.
My question is, do you all believe I would benefit from going ahead and doing a tranny flush, will that help with temp issues? Or are these temps to be expected in this type of weather? Other than that I'm having no issues whatsoever. I might just be a little paranoid but better safe than sorry.
