temporary water meth kit?

So lets talk about this.

sea foam cleans carbon (supposedly, i think its more of the oil from pcv being cleaned out)

water meth kits slowly clean the engine but also are a large initial investment and take solution full ups.

super chargers produce a lot of heat in the summer.

forced induction also causes more blow by, and without a catch can causes oil vapors from the pcv into the motor.

so my thought process is... Why not temporarily route the windshield wiper spray hose into the intake to act as a water meth kit / carbon cleaning process?

you can disable the wiper motor from running while the washer pump is spraying, and control it very easy from the steering wheel.

If you accidentally run the washer pump motor, the fluid will just flow down the intake and drain out.

i have tried this in the past and the suction from the engine inside the intake, wanted to pull water out of the washer fluid hose at idle, but i am sure putting a small nozzle on the end would cause less surface are for suction and prevent any unwanted flow. the nozzle would also help mist the fluid as it enters the intake.



then in the end when your all finished, connect the wiper hose back up to the hood and activate the auto wipe function when the washer pump is spraying.

Methanol sprayed in engine has great cooling capabilities... Won't do too much in a blown 4Runner though and keep in mind also methanol is corrosive and will eat away at rubber seals so if you're going to run it for cleaning make sure you add an additive to it... I ran methanol on my Lightning and only saw great tuning benefits with boosts about 18 PSI... Have no experience with blown 4Runners though

Yep.....you wont see much in power gains in a forced induction motor on meth till you start cranking up the boost. Ran 25 psi on 93 octane on a Turbo Buick.

Yeah, These things do. I also have the 7th injector and timing calibrator hooked up to my truck so it don't need meth, I'm mainly thinking of a temporary injection for steam cleaning

A little bigger then stock turbo- TE51, Stock 8:01 motor. Upgraded pump and injectors....went 11.30@118mph in my daily driver.

Retard your timing then and you won't have to rely on meth. I'm sorry but if you have to use meth to help knock at 9 psi then a better tune is needed... I have yet to see proof from dyno runs where meth is beneficial at low psi applications... You want to run cooler... Get a cac installed... The other part is the reliability of the parts of the meth kit once you do tune for it... Don't want your pump crapping out when you need the meth to keep your engine from falling apart.


If your concern is oil coming through your intake and forming deposits and make or purchase and modify and oil separator like this one:

Your completely right but these vehicles don't have a good way to tune timing so really not an option. Meth injection is an option but obviously not the best idea.
