Tesla Test Drive

I'm in the market for a larger EV/hybrid, and Tesla has the best charging infrastructure but they don't currently have a larger SUV (truck is second for me) in their lineup.

I'm waiting for Toyota's options as well but man, those Teslas drive amazingly well. The Ford Lightning looks great too but I still would prefer a larger SUV. I was pretty floored when I drove the Model S though. I'll try to get something next year, when we have a few more options.

The Model X can be had in a 7 seater setup. While probably smaller than an Explorer or a Sequoia, one of my kids went on a drive from SD to LA in one with 6 other passengers and found it to be pretty comfy.

Of course, the falcon wing doors were a hit. :thumb:

We have too much gear (toddler plus I'm a gear-heavy mountain biker) and max out the 4Runner already. Plus, I'd prefer a longer wheelbase when I get a camper again. The 4R or similar wheelbase SUV is not very safe for anything past a 16-18 ft 3,000-5,000 camper dragged around the mountains. I'm keeping a keen eye out...
