Test Drove a 5th Gen Yesterday

I test drove a 2010 Sport yesterday and I was a bit unimpressed. I'm not here to troll or piss anybody off, just tell it like it is and try to understand what is going on with Yota right now.

I do like the exterior styling and size of the vehicle however,

as soon as I got in I noticed how ugly the seats were. The look like they were designed by a pimp. I wish I had a photo of those hideous seats. They were somewhat cumpty though. I def prefer leather in this area. If you drop your fatburger on that seat - thats it. Time to buy a new one.

I'm also not sure why the interior was so techy. It looks like an old silverized PC laptop. I thought that silver was out and black was in. You can't find one silver stereo receiver or TV at best buy anymore. Its good to have all of the buttons but it has definitely lost its classy edge with no granite, leather, or wood grain. I think they fired the old designer and hired the guy from Scion to save a few bucks.

While driving, I noticed that the engine is a V6. I read that it does have a lot of HP, but again its still a V6. I punched the gas and I have to say not much happened. Nothing close to what my V8 2003 does. I was really missing the torque that my V8 puts out in these areas. It sounded like it was really struggling to speed up and was very similar to a Prius that I just test drove. It did however have a nice smooth ride. The steering was great as well and felt like I was smooth sailing in a Toyota Camry. Very car like.

I liked the car over all it did have some major flaws but I think I will wait for a limited with V8 and better gas mileage. :dancin:

Your're not trying to understand anything. You're upset with your purchase of your specific 4r and feel the need to rip down everything else in order to make you feel better about yourself. Fine. Just please dont do it on this website. You have multiple threads on your gas mileage, multiple threads on this crud, most of which have been closed or got you banned. Please, please, just stop.

I was going to say you're probably not going to piss anyone off by bashing 5th gens in the 4th gen section. But it seems you've already pissed people off.

Every now and then someone starts a thread about how they're not that impressed with the 5th gen, and how much they love their 4th gen That's the part you skipped. People would probably let a minor technicality like this go for someone who hadn't pissed them off.

Something to think about. Sometimes we make life harder for ourselves than it needs to be.

I read and re-read said paragraph, the only difference I see is your "mature" mooning icon at the end. You do realize you are making people want to help you less and less by every paragraph and word you type right? Oh wait, you think you are smarter than everyone here so I'm sure you realized that.
