testing rear coils

I have read the threads on the 3rd gen rear sag and want to know if I take the coils spring (still installed) and squeez it with one hand how much play or movement or resistance should there be?

I tried this a few minutes ago and could squeez the coil just fine with one hand. Not sure if this is normal or not.

I installed Bilsteins 13000 miles ago, they are not leaking, but when the truck is fully loaded it sags... a lot... Shocks or Coils? or Both?

I have yet to try on a 4r but back in my mustang days coil springs were a mother f#cker to do anything with without a compressor, so you're either freakishly strong or your springs are shot. That's as technical as I can get.

Shocks don't really play a roll. They are there to dampen the force.

It's your coils depending on how much load, etc.

LOL if you can compress your coils with your hands they are bad.
