Last weekend a group of us got together to hit the dirt. Well it turned out to be more mud than dirt. Here are a few pics of what happen to anything in mud. Also one of the group.

Uhhh...uhhhh...i was just trying to make everyone feel good about their vehicle.......really.

It was way too muddy! In the picture above, i simply high-centered myself...because 5600 lbs + soft, deep mud + street tires = oh crap! I sank to the bottom like the Titanic! What's funny is that two other Rubicons (brother + friend's; one heavily modified...see stuck pic in #1) tried to make me look bad by crossing over the same spot...both got stuck! So, in effect, they made ME feel good. Actually, it turns out that the Goodyear MT/R tires did not fare much better than street tires...the mud was just horrible!

BTW, after seeing me and two Rubicons stuck, we all turned back to go the other way!

Those are great pictures there TexGX. If you have more, post them! That must have been some serious mud if a Rubicon and G500 got stuck in it. The GX470 definitely belongs on a trail rather than in a mall parking lot! TexGX, did your GX470 get stuck as well?

Did you guys try to drive round the side of the mud? Seems like you guys got stuck in the grooves of the mud.

Almost everyone got stuck. A 2000 4R and the Porche were the only ones who did not get stuck. The first picture is of me stuck. I had to crawl out the passanger side to get out. I do not have any better pic's. I will try and do better next time.

Well, the groove didn't seem so bad...until i drove over it and just sank! Mud was really soft that day. The deep groove is mostly made by me.

The Jeep Rubicon that towed me out (one in front in the picture) got to the front by driving on the side.
