Texas T4R Owners?

I miss Palo Duro canyon my self lots of good memories there.


I went to the Canadian River one time but I won't discuss that. I don't know what the statue of limitations is on things that went down that trip are.

I still visit palo often to go mountain biking when I'm visiting family.

I'm in the same boat as you at the Canadian river, I'm amazed me and some of my buddies are still alive.
 
Anybody who survived growing up in the Texas panhandle is lucky to have made it out alive. Not much to do but start trouble or be found by trouble. My dad always used to talk about how wild things could get in White Deer in the '50's when I was a kid I used to think no way nothing wild has ever happened in White Deer. Wrong!

I found a lot of trouble in White Deer and White Deer girls were crazy and usually brought trouble with. Even after high school and I was living in Canyon and Amarillo, white Deer girls were still to be found with trouble in tow. Amarillo was a fun town period in the late 90's to be 18-21.
 
Got my 2017 ORP Nautical Blue runner on 07/17/17. Living in Murphy (Far East Plano) and also have a place in Trinidad CO. Nearest OHV trail in CO is about an hour away.

I have had a few 4WD SUVs on the past (Montero, Durango, Tourareg) but this in the first one I trust to take far a field.

SSO Sliders and Slimline are "in production".

Just livin the 4Runner dream!

Any pics of that area? I have heard about it but have not seen anything of it. Do they allow camping?

It's definitely a place to camp but there are no camping "spots." It's primitive camping so you set up where you see fit. I've camped out there a number of times and it's great.

That looks like an interesting place to explore. I will have to do some homework on it; but not right now. I just got home from the High Water Trail and need to do some upgrades to get the camping system ready before Big Bend Ranch State Park in December. Thanks for the pics and info.

Have you ever went over to the Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico?

I have driven through it on the pavement but am looking to put together a group trip in the Spring. Hopefully 3-4 days of dirt trails and camping if it all comes together right. As for being a good place - lots of people say they would just rather go to Colorado since they are so close; but it is 4-6 hours closer than Colorado for me and a lot less explored/ published/ traffic.
 
Ive lived in North Texas for 10 years, it seems like the only offroading and camping near by are in Offroad parks. Does anyone know any places where you can do some offroading and primitive camping without being confined to a relatively small park area?

I think BMRA is the best thing you're going to find "locally"...
