Hi guys, I've been reading a lot of info on here in preparation to buying my own. I recently bought a 99 SR5 4WD w/132K that was well taken care of. I am excited to join the 4R community. I have owned an extended cab 03 Taco TRD 4WD E-locker for the last 6 years and have loved it. Selling it due to starting a family, definitely going to miss it, but am anxious about breaking in the 4R. Anyways I wanted to thank you guys for inspiring me to start doing my own maintenance on the 4R. With the help of the how to's on here I have already replaced the Spark plugs and wires (with oem from the dealer), changed the rear diff fluid. . . I bought the goods for the rear diff extender and plan to get to the front diff and transfer case oils soon. Thanks again for all the great information and opinions!

You're going to be eating your own words in a year when you've spent thousands on mods and maintenance! Just kidding, welcome to the club! It can be expensive, but worth every penny.

Well done, and congrats on your purchase. Look forward to checking out your build thread!

Welcome! I was in the same boat as you this time last year, except my taco was a '98. I still miss "Billy", but I've been bonding with "Gwen" by modding and maintaining her.
