Thankful 4 armor bumper

Got into a little fender bender today, and thankful no one was hurt.

I was in the right lane on a 2 lane road going straight, then all of a sudden this 85 year old lady speed up and cut me off, but instead of cutting ahead of me she ran into my armor front bumper.....Im like, WTF????????? Did i hit a deer?

So, we pulled over to a safe road, then she had the nerve to tell me that it was my fault. again....WTF???????? WTF is wrong with people's now a day?


So, the cop came and cited her "at fault". She lost her passenger mirror and door fender pretty messed up, mine is ok, just some paint and a small dent on the bumper. I'm going to get it fix and the rest is going into a Gen 2 supercharger.

Awesome... pics? Dunno where the land of chocolate and honey is but in VA when I go to a wreck like that, I issue a summons and complete a DMV review form. DMV in turn forces the person to come in for a road test or skills test or vision test etc and usually ends up taking that person's license.

So if a person is in a wreck and it because of no fault but there own u can summons a DMV review in VA etc etc... That should be the norm, that would cut down on so much carelessness. Hmmm time to start asking questions in TN

Dam man. Glad to hear all is well, soundsmlike you may make out in top with this one. Imo after 65 you should be required to do a reaction test and vision test ever 2 years. Lets face as we get older we dont work as well as we used to, things like vision and reaction time are highly effected by age.

The summons and the review form are two separate things. The summons is for the violation of state code. The review form is for someone that appears to be unsafe on the road due to a medical issue or age or whatever.

Honestly through, i feel bad for her and the elderly, they have to get around too. Most are not fortunate enough to have someone to run errands for them so they have to drive to get to point A and B then back to A again.

So, i feel its most important for manufacturers to become more active in self detect/ self correction or anti collisions technologies for drivers such as her.

Myself, i like my all metal car. When i can't drive anymore, i'll buy me a Google car.

I was on my way to work......

to install my OME 883......which i did.:hatsoff: so now i am sitting @ 23.5" all around w/ LC 7 out back. Kickout sliders time

I've been saved twice in the last 2 years by my bumpers.

1st was when my old roommate backed his Audi down the driveway at about 7 MPH into my 4Runner. He made it about 30 feet before hitting my truck. All that happened was the bottom of the ARB had a minor scratch. His trunk pretty much went underneath my front bumper.

2nd time was when I was in my 4Runner, just parked and this lady just started backing up her Caddy Escalade from her parking spot and just kept backing up. My rear bumper was facing her car so even though I honked the sound went the other way. She backed right up into my Savage Offroad rear bumper at about 3-5 MPH and did a huge dent and crush job on the back of her SUV which was pretty flimsy. My 4Runner had no damage so we didn't even exchange cards.

I'm starting to feel encourage by your post on upgrading factory front and rear bumpers now. ... hmmm better do me some searching .
