Thanks careless driver, goodbye 4runner...

I was on my way to basketball this morning when a lady turned left from oncoming right in front of me. I was going 45mph and had a green light. She thought she could turn left on a blinking yellow turn arrow. She was issued a citation and admitted fault. Aside from some bumps and sore neck/back, I feel great, and I can attribute my safety to the combination of my seatbelt, airbag and serious steel bumper. Both people in the van had minor/moderate injuries.

My Canadian baby is dead. We had some good times buddy...I'll miss you.

Dang.. sorry to see that :( I feel your pain as it happened to me almost exactly a year ago. Glad you are ok.

Man, that's rough. Glad to hear you're ok tho! Looks like that AddictedOffroad bumper took the brunt of the impact really well.

Can't believe you only got minor injuries, that incredible. Glad you are ok and that sucks your rig is totaled.

Good luck

Wow, well, we're definitely airbag compliant!

Sucks that it happened like that, but IMO, it saved it from a lot more damage. How fast we're you going?

Bummer to see this. Glad everyone managed to come out unscathed, for the most part. Take a bunch of ibuprofen, cus you'll feel it tomorrow for sure. Good luck with the insurance process and all that jazz.

Wow that bumper held up pretty well!

Glad your okay and no one really hurt. Hopefully you can get something good through insurance.

Definitely glad you're okay, these rigs are definitely life-savers in accidents! Good luck with insurance, but it doesn't sound like it will be too painful for you.

rbgerrish Although I don't know you, this honestly upsets me. Seeing those photos brings sadness to me, not joking. It's great to hear that all parties involved were okay; nonetheless, sorry to see this unfortunate event go down the way it did. I hope you're able to find another 3rd gen if you decide to seek out that route again.

Holy cow!!!

Glad you are OK man. That must have been scary as hell. Take some Ibuprofen and start drinking a lot of water. Your body will thank you or curse you tomorrow depending on what you decide to do.

On another note, I am impressed by the AOR front bumper. I have the same bumper and glad to hear that the combo of seatbelts and airbags did their job. I can only imagine all the extra energy that the AOR plate bumper absorbed / deflected.

Hope everything gets sorted out man, take care.

Wow!

I am very glad that you made it out with minor injuries (along with the other people of course). I almost died 11-years ago from a similar car-crash. Good to know that the 4Runner kept you safe. So sorry about your baby though. :(

BTW- Nice timing with the Gun Metal 5th Gen in the pic.

Ouch I feel for you. My daily driver is a nissan leaf, I save the 4runner for trips. If the leaf gets totalled I don't care, I'll get a new one. But the 4runners, they are personal.

On the bright side, think of the new life this carcass will bring to other 3rd gens looking for parts. I'm in the market for those fender flares...

So sorry man. Metal and rubber can be replaced thankfully no serious injuries. Hopefully you will be compensated and can find another rig.
