The 4runner got some love. Plastidip!

Well, i decided to finish off my front bumper and grille today with plasti dip. In the process i added new clear corner and bumper lights along with a trd emblem in the grille. I think it looks sweet! Getting rid of my running boards, painting the bumpers and grille, clear lights, trd symbol, and the trd stickers makes this truck look so much more bad ass imo.

What do you all think?

^ I don't think plasti-dip sticks well to anything. It just conforms to the shape of whatever you spray it on and can be peeled off rather easily.....atleast that's my experience with it.

i did almost zero prep to mine, literally just a wet and dry rag to get the dirt off and it stuck good and did 3 coats and looked good. it just comes off in places sometimes and i just do a touch up to get it to stick back down.

I think you are the previous owner of my 4runner. Been looking for months to find your profile, after I saw the T4R.org sticker on the rear windshield. Yamaha sticker makes sense, looked and found your snowmobiles. Dealer removed both stickers.

Holding well, aside from peeling a bit around the inside of the Toyota emblem.

So the three coats that guy did on the chrome is still holding up for you Hedgehog? I have been wondering how well it would adhere to chrome. You took over a nice looking runner btw.

UPDATE

Plastidip is peeling some now from under the hood maintenance, brushing up against it etc. Rear bumper cracked from OP getting rearended, plastidipped over it. Plastidip had been peeling away since I got the 4runner, but washing it recently a few chunks of metal fell out. Check my build thread to see it. Other than a few places where the plastidip is getting abused, it hasn't peeled anywhere else.
