The 4th gen section NEEDS a new moderator

Again, I am posting ANOTHER thread pleading with Admins to find an active moderator for the 4th gen section. A quick look at the 1st page is all you need to know that Helen Keller could do a better job moderating this section. Mod if youre reading this, sorry but sometimes the truth hurts.

I mean, we have to scroll down over halfway thru the 1st page to get thru all the antiquated (and some even dumb, honestly) Sticky threads.

Before some of you question what im saying... We currently have a sticky for these subjects:

- A 5 year old sticky from the moderator titled "4th gen section/thread clean up and consolidation" uhhh what?

-Easy Weekend Mods. Seriously, this deserves a sticky?

-4th gen suspension options FAQ
AND
-FJ Spring lift thread- In case you missed it in the sticky suspension thread

- A thread titled " Pre-Purchase Info, Modifications, Write-Ups, Quick Links, and FAQ's" which links you back to every single sticky on the first page :tsk:

I have contacted the website owners, but I again am becoming the squeaky wheel. I got no reply for my first request.

This is not a request to become a moderator, this is a request to assign a competent moderator to this section. Currently this is the most neglected section on the site, and it has slowly pushed me away from the site to ones that are policed more proactively. Im sure many others have stopped using it as well because of this.

Administrators PLEASE, please assign someone who will clean this eyesore up. The website is a great base of knowledge but that knowledge is useless when its a cobweb full of cluttered junk.

If you know a t4r admin or moderator, please tag them in this thread.

zopperman YOU are the moderator of this section and havent signed onto the website since May 2018. It is time to give up your position as moderator. If you choose to remain moderator, you will do a huge disservice to the 4th gen owners.

Sorry you feel like these issues are pushing you away from the site, you will be missed. I am not sure if you are referring to me or not and not that I owe you any explanations but my wife has cancer. I am sure this seems like a small thing compared to your problems with sticky threads. Hate to see you go.

Momo has always helped me out when I've asked, even recently even when he's busy like he mentioned.

Maybe others can add suggestions to this thread and see what exactly we can agree on to get changed around here. I just don't see why a new moderator is necessary.

For me, I don't mind scrolling down past the stickies to view new threads. I'm on the forum enough there is hardly ever a time I have to go to the second page.

Im referring to whoever oversees cleaning up the thread. I apologize for your wife's cancer and hope she recovers quickly.

The backhanded comment about cancer being a small thing compared to sticky threads was unnecessary. I get the reason you felt the need to take a jab back at me, but cancer is obviously much more important, and I'd give up this site forever if it would save someone the devastating news of cancer.

momo.75 How does one become a moderator? I've been on this forum for ages and would love to help out. I'd also love to help reduce the 'work load' on you so you're able to spend your time on more important matters without pressure from the internet world.

I’m pretty new and truly don’t mind scrolling PAST the sticky’s which probably everyone does to see recent posts etc.. now with that being said .. maybe you can be a CO - moderator for the 4th gen side ..

and as for momos wife cancer.. brother I don’t know you and wish you and the wife nothing but strength , faith and endless love... I went through it myself and been here now for almost 9years later..!!!! God bless and you can send me a message if you want to ask anything you never know maybe it can help!!!!

Brotherhood

I can honestly say this is why I love this website...the kindness overall, the brotherhood.

Seriously, we scroll through reddit, we scroll through Pinterest, we scroll through emails.
A few swipes of the thumb isn’t that big of a deal and newbies like myself can use a little practice with what others consider old news.

I second the good wishes and prayers Momo!
May God bless you and yours, I’m sure she’s everything to you and props to you for putting family first!

....now if you need me, I’ll be scrolling through
some old threads

I'll ditto this. I'd be proud to assist with some of the technical mishaps and keep the forums clean as can be in terms of the recent spam bot infestation. I'm also on the forums multiple times a day so I would be glad to moderate!:usa:

momo.75 you've got several here willing to help moderate. It seems like your plate is full and perhaps this would be a welcomed break from T4R.

I'm sure these guys would make great moderators, how would we go about getting them registered?

I just want whats best for the website.

Looks like someone has revised the 'Sticky' threads this weekend!
Now we just need somebody willing to rewrite the lift thread to actually be accurate; glad the armor thread finally looks updated. Pin the what'd you do with 4R thread?

Lift doesn't change tire fitment (as is clearly evident from the 35s fitment guide thread ;) )

I honestly didn't mind the easy weekend mod thread, but would've been nice to have a consolidated thread that had it down to a couple posts like the armor thread. (i.e. 06 headlight/taillight swap right up, traction control write up, map lights etc are all easy and having starter ideas for newer owners was useful imo.

I'd offer to help mod, but I honestly rarely login anymore. I can assist in re-writing the lift thread tho :)

I think I found the info of headlight and taillight swap on here. One of the first mods I did. Good idea on making those sticky. That's how were gonna get new members.
