I finally got a chance to wheel my new-ish 4th Gen! I hate to admit it, but it might actually wheel better than my 97...which had a locker. That's a separate thread though, and I was just happy to see what it could do. I have to do some trimming so I'm going to start with the bumper corner and see if I have more issues.

I don't have any photos of the really technical stuff we did since we were driving and it was raining, but yeah, super fun! This was basically a test run before I'm heading out of town on Thursday to do some off-road camping and climbing. I didn't want to find out something didn't work with a full truck and an anxious girlfriend.

Went up Grizzly Gulch road to get my 33rd consecutive month of snowboarding in. Fun story, I actually got my 3rd gen stuck here near the spot (down near the fence line) I took this photo. It was many years ago in some bad mud/soup, and just everything went wrong. I had Ryan's Recovery come "extract" me to the tune of $500, so it was interesting being back...

Got to hit Corral Hollow the Sat. after the 4th w/ some Nor Cal folk. Was a lot of fun. Some great views of Bear Valley Ski Resort from the ridge line.

Ah, it just takes some determination and boredom, so you can do it in Cali too! This year will be especially challenging though since it was such a crap snow year. Honestly, July through September are usually a bit of a chore anyway for really sketchy and short runs, but I'm stubborn and like doing stupid things like this.

I like the optimism but don't think we got nearly enough snow anywhere remotely near me to make that a realistic option. But there is always next year

Camped at Ironclads this weekend. It’s a really fun trail close to Allenspark, CO, which isn’t too far from where I live. It was busy but for being a holiday weekend and so close to home I can’t can complain. One of the trails takes you up to the remains of an airplane crash in 1965.

Nice, I went up and did T-33 Saturday morning. Had a great time.
