At the river, my dog split his leg open while running around in the water. The closest vet was closed. Closest open one was 30 miles away, I drove her balls the wall until we got there, other than my backseat being covered in blood she did great! Running redlights and all. Thats all

Good to know! These damn dogs really are like kids. I'm gonna have to bury my wife right next to the dog when she goes. Ours is only four, and my wife is always like "what are we going to do when she dies?"

I say we'll go get another one! Not a popular choice in answers.....

How's your puppy doing now?

Our dogs are more than just pets. It's been over a year since our golden retriever had to be put down (cancer), and a day doesn't go by that we don't miss her.

cm - hope yours heals fast. You probably already have one, but I always carry a triage/first aid kit in my 4Runner. Just in case.

I've been around dogs my whole life, and its so sad they dont live longer. The happiest creature ever in my opinion. I did have a triage kit, I used superglue and wrapped it up, but it was a gusher lol. But he's doing good now, back home with his E-Collar on LOL but all in all it just adds to the adventure

Bet you'll be adding some trauma dressings and cling wrap to that kit now eh? Or at least a stack of 4x4's and some tape. :wink2:

LOL you know it. I had tape in there, but I guess from being in there in the heat for so long it turned into a big sticky ball of gunk. Oh well :happens:
