2003 The a.c. cuts out only 1/5 the time
I have a 2003 Sport V6. I purchased in the early winter. The a.c. blows ice cold for 15-20 seconds, then blows regular air about 4-5 seconds. The cycle repeats. No warning lights. I switched the magnetic clutch relay with the fog relay. No noticeable change. Had it checked for leaks, no leaks. No noise coming from the compressor or a.c. unit. I'm studying my options. Bring in to the Toyota dealer for a further diagnostic or keep on digging. My mechanic says to maybe wait till it's very hot. If it gets worse, then maybe the magnetic clutch. I just turned to 200K clicks. Lady driven, parked in heated garage, but who knows. Maybe I will invest in a new compressor if I have to. Frame and body is still in great shape. Going to go back and verify if the fog lights work in case I had a bad fog relay. I did hit the m.c. relay a few times. Wonder if it's worth buying a new mag. clutch relay. I'll check fuses but doubt its fuses as all works well. Any opinions would be appreciated.
