This site is chocked full of threads about tires and I've read them all. In my opinion they are all pretty useless. So, yes here I am starting yet ANOTHER tire thread, however there are guidelines here to make this thread as helpful to others as possible.
PROBLEM 1: It's human nature to justify one's own decisions. If you plunk down lots of $$$ for tire brand X, you are going to naturally rave about how great tire brand X is, if only to make yourself feel better.
PROBLEM 2: They are NEW tires. Obviously they are going to perform better than whatever brand of bald "Maypops" you had on before. Your perspective is greatly distorted.
PROBLEM 3: Subjectivity. Looks are important in tire choices, but we don't all like the same thing (blonde, brunette, red?). Doesn't really matter what you like, if it is what YOU like.
SOLUTION: ANTI-tire thread! Only post here about tires you have had experience with and what you did NOT like about them, why they failed, or what you feel could be better. No more "tire commercials". Be objective.
