I took a look around the parking lot last night at work. yes there is a forklift 3 rows from where my 4Runner was parked and delivery trucks come and go and could have used the lane which faced the front of my vehicle. Security is reviewing video of that night but that might take a while. I don't think it was intentional but probably never know..........appreciate your insights all.

You might want to subpoena the tape from the facility. You should not trust that they will look at it thoroughly and even notify you if they found something- they will try to protect themselves and the people using the garage (forklift operators and such) before you. Also, get the name and number of the facility's insurance company. Even if they aren't technically liable some will pay for automobile damage, which is actually bs because anything that happens on their property is technically their responsibility and liability. You can't go wrong just making a claim against them. Also, 5 days seems excessive to me as well. I would agree that you can paint and cure a hood even within a 24 hour period if you use a baking system. The finishing process does take time though...

if you're really looking to protect your hood...you may want to look into this transparent film from 3M that are laser cut to cover the entire hood. The "hood protector" really just minimize the number of bugs that smash onto your hood and into your windshield...

Thanks for the advice. The Allstate adjuster cut the check this am and did not mention the hospital's liability. I am here working for a few weeks and don't want to press the powers that be if you know what I mean. I am just real curious. makes me re-think home security a bit also. Thanks for the link to the 3M and transparent protection.....
