I spent a good amount of time before and after my purchase on this forum, so thank you all for the wealth of knowledge and entertainment up front!
With a dog kennel, cooler, camping supplies, and every day items that come and go in the back of the 4Runner, one of the realizations that I discovered early on was that the cargo management from the factory is lacking in many ways. Namely in the ability to tie individual items down safely and independently. I have some ideas floating around in my head, and have visited threads like Antman 's and his cargo conversion ( http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/92013-antmans-thread-14.html#post876313 ). Thanks for the write up on that one, Antman.
While I have my own list and needs, my question is simple. What do YOU think is needed most in the back of our rigs? Tie downs? Moveable tie downs? Having the back be FLAT with the second row seats when folded down (really Toyota)? Being able to add/remove modular pieces with ease? Reverting to stock?
I can't help but wonder, with the array of people on here with different jobs and hobbies, what you all want or have done to accomplish your needs! :snacker:
For the record, here is my typical setup when camping:
