Its actually not as hard as it seems, there is a little tab that you have to feel for near where the headlight and upper grill meet. You lift up on that tab and it would pop out. Its hard to get a camera in there to show you, cuz its a tight squeeze. Once you find it, the grill will release and you can pull it forward. Good luck

You don’t need to worry about the headlight tabs...just focus on the four in the middle and use strong pressure. I also recommend heating up the center piece before applying it, because it doesn’t want to slip on all the way.
I wish I would’ve seen this prior to ordering from them on Amazon. I ordered on 24 Jan. I got a confirmation email saying it shipped on the 25th. Now the wait begins. I’ll keep updating as the process continues.

Everything is hit or miss...just because one person had issues, means absolutely nothing. You might get yours delivered next week! After receiving my grill last week, and receiving a full refund, China hasn’t contacted me for payment....looks like I’m in the clear for a free grill!

I ordered mine on the 22nd and did not received anything. I even tried emailing them yesterday asking for one and no response.

I received an order update email on Jan. 21 stating that my order had shipped. The tracking info was in the email as well. I never had to contact them. It seemed all automated to me. Did you order it from the Cartrimhome website? I paid via paypal on their website.

I'm definetly looking to do this in the Spring along with blacking out the lower valances. Question, how many of you added some glue along with the tape for the garnish piece and the letters?
The adhesive behind the letters are very strong! No joke!

Good to hear thanks. I'm assuming as it sets it gets stronger as well. Sure beats $600 for OEM. I'm so glad somebody out there finally logically priced some pieces of plastic.

It's not necessary. Prior to setting the letters in and putting the garnish, make sure you lightly heat it so it adheres better.
Expect about 0.25” gap on each sides. Mine and others had this... i want to redo the installation wheb summer comes. As it currently sides, kinda bothers me as the gap between each sides and behind is noticeable from close look.

I would imagine I’d be the only one that would notice. And for the price the gap will be more than livable. Plus I have the MGM color so it should hide it.

As others have said before, the gap is ALSO present on the official Toyota casting. It's a perfect copy of the original part. Look at any Pro closely and you'll see the gaps.
