The Chinese Special TRD Grille... on the cheap!

I have a reputable POC at one of the manufacturers in China if you need the Pro replica with the diamond LEDs for the grill ($129) or without ($121). Good quality and small gaps on the side - I have a super white and the install looks solid. The LEDs on mine are not from him. He gives me 10% off and can usually expedite the shipping so it's here in less than 10 days (not 3+ weeks).

Shoot me a PM if you're interested. My pro replica is from him and I've helped 10-15 people on Reddit and Facebook groups also purchase from him without any issue.

Did you paint the TOYOTA letters black? Most of the ones I've seen have the matte silver letters.

I sure did - hit the letters with a few coats of matte black rattle can before installing.

Nice, do you have lamin-x on the fogs too? I'm thinking of doing that as well. Yellow bulbs for night with the lamin-x for the day look.

Yep. I kept the stock fog bulb in there for now. It suits my daily needs.

Well, I pulled the trigger on the cartrim grill and splurged with the amber marker lights. Anyone else have experience with the lights the sell?

Ordered on 2/16 and arrived today, 2/19. Looks like it was shipped from an Amazon facility in Jacksonville, FL. Looks pretty good so far and packaged very well.

I ordered on eBay and it has shipped, should have by end of week but who knows when I'll get to install. I've had a full length no drill Prinsu since November, still in the box, that I haven't had time to install. I've got the lightbar for it and switchbox to install as well. Just not enough time.

Did prices on the OEM grilles come way down? I remember reading that they were in the $500-600 range. But found this that says it is OEM toyota for $170 am I missing something do you need more than just those pieces?

You wouldn't need a yellow bulb if you already have yellow Lamin-X already on the cover. A regular LED or incandescent is fine. It also does not dim the bulb.

Yes. I don't think it dims the light, but it does change the color (obviously) so it doesn't look as bright as a whiter light. I honestly went with the yellow because I think it looks awesome, but I really like the yellow light in the snow. White light on a white road doesn't show as well.

I snagged the round ones from Amazon for like $15. I didn't remove the fog lights or the covers for the install. Clean the face of the fogs really well to remove any dirt/debris, peel back the liner on the Lamin-X, center it on the fog, then press down in the center. Using a circular motion with your thumb, work away from the center and towards the perimeter. When you get to the edge of the light where the black fog trim is, use a plastic trim tool to push the Lamin-X behind the cover.

I didn't have any air bubbles, use any other equipment (heat), or have to do any trimming. Very straight forward install, just take your time. I still use the stock bulb - no need to upgrade.
