The Chinese Special TRD Grille... on the cheap!

3) I've had my grill for more than a year and a half, it's been through tons of power washes and been in the Texas sun and I haven't had ANY fading/slipping/movement of the grill whatsoever. I still don't understand why people paint it, but to each their own.

Because I'm a dumb### and didn't pay attention when I was putting on the letters - got the adhesive primer stuff all over and couldn't get it off with rubbing alcohol/goo gone... the streaks in the finish were bugging me. :dammit:

i would've preferred to not paint it but such is life - I think it's turned out pretty good. Just need a free weekend to install.

Thanks for the videos! I'd still like the LEDs to turn on with the lights, if anyone knows how to do this.

just installed mine today and used the fuse for TAIL 10 amp.

comes on with tail lights regardless of ignition just my personal preference.

mine didn’t come with the fuse holder i ordered so fwiw i would recommend just buying the fuse holder at the parts store versus giving away $6.

I installed the Running4Tacos grill a couple weeks ago. I like that the grill had the letters attached. One less thing to worry about. The gap on each end seems consistent with what I see at the Toyota dealership with OEM grills. I'm happy with the purchase. Used the money I saved to pick up the black Pro bumper valances for the front and rear.

Cut out a small notch for it and seal it back up with silicone or similar.

Thanks! I purchased LED headlight bulbs from DRZ Off Road. They are listed on the T4R vendor board, and their website is: DRZ OFF ROAD - Toyota 4Runner Aftermarket Parts - 5th Gen -

I am very happy with the LEDs. A drastic improvement over the stock bulbs, especially where the color of the output is concerned, and DRZ offers them at a fair price.

Exactly how doesn’t it fit? It’s supposed to be a very tight fit up and down with a gap on the left and right...

Well when it goes on it s cannot go on far enough for the tape to even grab (No I didn't remove the tape).

As you press it on you can see the gap where the tape should grab.

The sides match up pretty well.

I also have the limited and collecting parts for my bumper swap. I received mine the other day but didn't try it on since (other than the chrome) the grills between the models are very similar. Any chance you tried a heat gun to warm up the plastic a bit to help mold it?

Its almost like you cannot push it on there far enough
