I am very happy with the LEDs. A drastic improvement over the stock bulbs, especially where the color of the output is concerned, and DRZ offers them at a fair price.

How about a hair dryer? Does that create enough heat?
also have heard where some have just let it sit in the sun for a little while and that was enough to soften it up to shape it better.

I left mine in the sun for about an hour, and the install was a breeze. The fit was... perfect.

The installation of the LEDs was so simple. Take the old bulbs out, pop the new ones in. Looks can be deceiving, though. I could have sworn that the low beams weren’t going to fit as the LED bulbs have a cooling fan. The fan just doesn’t look like it’s going to fit. Well, it fit just fine. Also, I’ve seen others commenting that the fans our loud. The DRZ fans aren’t loud at all. I can barely hear them.

I suggest watching this video. It’s exactly what I did, and you don’t have to modify your fuse box in any way. If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up.

Mines does not fit flush on the sides. When I push the side I can feel the adhesive tape lock on but as I release I can hear the tape pop back out. Anyone have a solution?

Use 3M vehicle double sided tape. Same car manufactures use to put emblems on.

Heating it up prior to installing helps the tape stickiness. Or, swap out with different 3M tape. I left mine in the sun for a day before installing and didn’t have any issues with fitment.

Can you help explain how to pop up the part where the bolt goes? I tried to pry it up with a small screwdriver but not succeeding in releasing the latch. Hard to see on the video exactly where to place the screwdriver.

I installed mine a few weeks ago. When I did a test fit without removing the tape, I could push it all the way but as soon as I took my hands off, it would have a tendency to pop back a little esp at the bottom. I put some extra 3M tape all around hoping it would hold but now after a few weeks, I see that it is not sticking in some parts and is coming off; I will need to remove and reinstall. Not sure what people do with respect to using a heat gun to remold.

Just put your screwdriver in the slot exactly as shown on the attached picture. You want to gently pry and twist the screwdriver as you pull up on the wiring harnesses and clip. Make sure to remove the 10mm nut first.

Just went to install mine on my lunch hour and ran into the same thing. It didn't want to slide easy at all and would pop back out. Bringing home a heat gun from work and will use some 3M tape I have at home. Did you end up using a heat gun? If so, did it help?

For those not being able to slide it on all the way after your test fit, are you removing the tape backing before installing? I never had a problem sliding mine on for the test fit or for the final installation. But always left the backing on the tape and pulled it with the grill installed with my body weight pressing the grill on as far as it could go. (installed it alone).

Although, I was one of the ones that had an issue with the tape failing and the grill coming loose a few months after the install. I pulled the grill, removed the tape and residue and then used 3m commercial tape that is used for holding panels onto cars. Have not had any problems since in the Florida sun. Also, no fading, but I coat it with either 303 protectant or Meguiars spray wax after each wash.

I've had mine for almost 5 months, still love the look. Like others, I painted mine with the flat black trim paint..In hindsight I feel like that was a mistake. Noticed a couple of weeks ago that the paint looks like it's wearing off and is already fading. Planning to order another cover and swap this one out. Won't paint the new one.
