The Effects of Pot

Thai its really unfair that you only posting facts which don't encourage weed use. Can't you find some facts that support what people want to hear?

Remember: Truth Isn't Truth.

:twitch:

Are you being serious or just joking?

Either way, because i am in the medical field and Hippocratic Oath, i cannot honestly support non-medical use of MJ. And i do not have any “facts” to back up use of MJ in a non-medical setting. I only post what i have read about in the medical journals from well-known publications.

https://www.npr.org/sections/health...he-high-new-studies-on-cbd-a-cannabis-extract

"I think there's good evidence to suggest that CBD could be an effective treatment of anxiety and addiction" and other disorders, says Dr. Esther Blessing, a psychiatrist and researcher at New York University. "But we need clinical trials to find out."

I think that above statement is the most spot on. The clarification of marijuana needs to change so we can do some far better research on it.

We should start a The Effects of DMT thread (and perhaps other hallucinogens) as it relates to "psychiatry" because what people are achieving for themselves in the jungles of Peru, and what other open-minded clinicians have achieved in the past with hallucinogens, has any of them with an open mind all ****ed-up. If they really had any sense and free thought they'd be questioning their entire profession and how many years they wasted listening to charlatans. Hell, just research the truth on Tim Leary. Funny how "conspiracy theories" invariably end-up being conspiracy fact.

Not condoning Schedule 1 drug use!

However, some vines and leaves made into tea have the psychiatric and pharmaceutical industries fighting back apparently. Again, you can look into what they did to Dr. Gabor Mate, one of the greatest clinicians to tread on ground in these parts. Te examples of corruption, intimidation and worse are endless.

I am in the medical field. I am NOT associated with any pharmaceutical stuff of any kind. (I actually dislike drug reps.)

Sorry if you had a bad experience with the medical field. It happens. Just like any other career field, there can be some bad apples and some slimballs that don’t follow the Hippocratic Oath.

As for the system being corrupt, i don’t share your opinion on the matter. But you’re welcome to that opinion. Nothing i say will change your mind.

I guess if you’re not into pot medically or otherwise I don’t understand the point of talking about it. Nurse Thai just likes to see himself post or what?

FYI. Public information. Isn’t what this forum is about?

You mad bro?

I am a well paid nurse! Bring on the cash!

Actually, given his reaction to me entering the discussion a page or two back in his other thread on alcohol, he's a poster child for the ignorance, arrogance and corruption in the system itself. Yeah, who just starts throwing insults around immediately when he hears something he doesn't like?

That's the kind of individual I want taking care of me in some medical hell hole... /s

Dude. I respect you. I don't know you enough to like you necessarily, so please understand this is from a place of respect when I say that your general tone is very jusgemental and one sided. For example, you claim to want all these people to be informed on pot and booze yet celebrate having a large paycheck from medical issues and therefore actually want people to be sick. Youve actually said that if I'm not mistaken. I just don't get it. Do you want to actually help or are you just grandstanding?

I'm being totally serious. Look at cigarettes. They tax the piss out of them to try and stop people from smoking. Doesn't really work. So you are trying to educate us all on how terrible these substances are, yet you earn a great living (proudly) by treating people. All the while you have not really addressed a lot of the main concerns of those who believe it to be a better overall alternative to pain meds or whatever.

It's tough to see you as open minded when you seem to be very agenda ridden.

Again, all due respect. I just think there is probably a more effective way to help people than your current attempts.

Sarcasm dude. Sarcasm.

I don’t know what to say to what you wrote. Clearly, there is a HUGE misunderstanding to how you read my posts.

The fact that i used sarcasm should tell you what my agenda is...that I don’t have one!!! Well, i lie...i do have a tiny one...to pass along factual helpful information (from my field of work) to forum members since i really do like this forum.

But hey, if you guys think that i don’t have to...then i am good. Trust me, it waste my time doing it! :) But from other members’ responses, some do like to know more about things.

EDIT: in all these posts, have i advertised a drug that i am pushing? Have i pushed you guys into buying something at all? Have i refer people to a place so that i can profit?? Have i published my place of practice so that i get more patients??? Have i published my salary to show off?? Have i even told you what i do? Have i even said that medical field is not perfect?

Think about that for a moment. What have i done besides posting facts for members of this forum to think about? Compare what i have posted to what other members have posted.

Oh, like it never happened, right Thai? Dude, delusional, factoid, REEEEEEE. It was in your self-anointed circle-jerk about alcohol, not this thread. No matter, you seem to have a talent of continually proving my points to one extent or another so thanks. People can read below:

Unbelievable, add no integrity to the list.

Thanks for posting that link. Ain’t pretty on you kid.

One up you: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/off-topic/248682-alcohol-brain-structural-damage-5.html#post3100105

They can read all the craziness from you!! Yikes!

Projection, another "talent"?

What's the name of the asylum posing as a hospital you work in so I can peacefully die in a ditch out front instead should circumstances dictate while in town?

Why did you repost the same thing I posted just before?

In my opinion you're unfit to administer care to a ****ing barbie doll at this juncture and it's emotional, irrational things like this small example that again, proves my point to some extent.

"Medicine" has become an institutionalized corporation and a commodity to be bought and sold.

Only reason weed is getting more accepted is because folks want the Tax revenue.

I can't believe that some of you guys actually believe this....

Ok, let's say that MJ is amazing, powerful, and effective. It will be regulated by FDA and made into medication (as is already in select cases). The "good" "pure" stuff will be prescribed, not bought at your local shop. You think that the drug companies will not do anything? They will medicated the shit out of MJ once proven effective...combo meds will be made (e.g. psych med + CBD, pain med + CBD, etc.).

So, in the grand scheme of things, it would benefit the medical community's SALARY greatly if MJ Is proven effective.

So, from bottom of our hearts, thank you for being medical community's guinea pigs! :whoo:

But, don't mind me, keep going with your conspiracy theory....

When you see "joined 2002" and over 17,000 posts you might want to wonder who you are arguing with and how likely you are to change their mind.

Besides, you both hate Bolsheviks so you might have more in common than you realize.

So to me, this means that a person who works in the weed industry cannot be objective on the medical effects of pot. But a doctor whose job is medicine should be in a position to be much more objective if you think about....

Thanks for continuing to prove my points.

I will disagree with this statement. I think marijuana is unique in that it doesn't take a chemists background nor highly specialized (ie expensive) equipment to extract and produce some very high quality stuff. If it is legalized, it will be the exact opposite. You will be able to buy pharmacy grade stuff at your local store. I mean, you can already do that here right now.

combo meds will be made (e.g. psych med + CBD, pain med + CBD, etc.).

That I could see. It would be the only way to have an upper edge. But will those "combo" drugs be more sought after? I don't know.

That only indicates longevity and legacy of foolishness apparently now that you mention it, blessed that I missed his last 16 years of it... LOL
