The elusive Bronze?

Anthracite isn’t as common a color but it’s certainly not rare by any means. Autumn Blaze is similar in color but much more rare because it was only made in 1999.

As for the 4Runner in the ad, as long as a rebuilt title doesn’t bother you and the frame is straight it looks like a good deal to me. Looks pretty clean inside & out from what I can see in the photos. Check the hood and roof on that one because Anthracite and Evergreen Pearl had a reputation for oxidation in those areas. Just make sure to double check the frame for rust and fluids for neglect/ pink milkshake before buying.

it's the Autumn Bronze that I long for. But this Anthracite is also pretty stinkin cool.
I will ask/check. A bumper shouldn't be hard to replace correct?
the rebuilt title doesn't bother me as long as it wasn't just for the 'minor fender bender'. that wouldn't make sense to me. straight frame or no go.

Love my 99 Autumn Mica Blaze. Someone asked me yesterday if I kept it in Grandma's barn, it looks so new he said.

But if one wants to see a AMB build for the ages, check out Dirtco. Something just awesome.

Rear tailgate has had paint work done, as the emblems are not in the correct factory location (V6 and SR5 emblems are not even the original font) and the paint shade is off, so it could have been rear ended.

Also rear tow hitch is painted, so I wouldn't trust when this fella says it's rust-free.

I would only buy a rebuilt vehicle if the damage wasn't in the front-end, was well documented along with the repair and I planned to never resell it.

I paid 2500 for a 96 with 220,000 miles needing tires, shocks, springs and timing belt. Ended up getting 5500 for it when it got T-Boned.

Put the engine in my 97 SR5 project. Couldn't have been happier!

If it passes a wheel alignment check offer 2300 because of the R title and go from there.

I have only seen one Autumn Bronze, ever. Turns out it belonged to a family my wife was a nanny for. I said if he ever wanted to get rid of it to let me know. Then it broke down and HE SOLD IT TO THE MECHANIC!!! It'll probably never see the road again :cry2:

By far the most beautiful color these 4Runners came in.

The skeptic in me reads the description and thinks it just screams " wholesaler/ car flipper". Be sure to do a CarFax and pay a shop to spend an hour with the truck on a lift and have a mechanic go over it front to back.

He called/texted me and said it’s “army green” so right there buzzers going off. No such color I know of in Toyota Runners.
Also said title was rebuild.
It’s not adding up but it may be fun to check out to find the real story.
Asked for vin but got nothing. Uh huh..
