Shrockworks Bumper Installed !

Finally got it installed. Took most of the day what with wiring lights and the winch. This was not a real fun job to do alone but the opportunity arose and I ran with it. I actually installed my winch solenoid within the bumper which keeps it nicely out of the way; haven't seen anyone else do that but it works really well.

More later but I gotta hit the rack...

Congratulations on the Schrock! Looks great! Nice looking grill too. :bigok: The bumper moves quite a bit so you wanna get at least a 3/4" gap between the bumper and the fender. Under flex, the bumper can buckle the fender or push it into the door.

I really tried for a solid 1/2" ~ 3/4" of space between bumper and fender but I had everything I could do to get the 3/8' ~ 1/2" I did without taking the whole thing off and grinding the support bracket down so the bumper could drop lower.

The space looks a lot smaller in the picture than it actually is. I now realize why everyone's bumper looks like it was mounted unevenly; the front fender flare creates an illusion that makes it look like it is closer to the bumper than the front edge.

I know exactly what you mean JD. I had the same problem. 3/8" was the most gap I could get so ended up doing a simple 1/2" body lift.

You guys can always contact them and set it up. That is how Mark did it. Then just got to negotiate the terms and numbers.

Really, anyone can setup a group buy. I talked to them a few months ago about it and they seemed open to doing another one. I'll see if I can find that email and check back to see about setting it up. In the meantime, it would be nice to have some ammunition to go to them to help negotiate the prices down a bit more.
Looks like we had 53 people order last time, which is helpful, but it would be nice to let them know we've got another "X" number of people ready to order again.

EDIT: I just spoke to Mark (with ShrockWorks) on the phone and he asked me to email him some information, which I did. I'll post back to this thread when I get a response.

Great minds think alike! Was planning on posting up an interest thread this week to get the ball rolling after seeing renewed interest on this thread.

Spoke with Mark @ Shrockworks last week and they are open for another buy.

Its cool, I can get it set up. I talked to him a couple months back and have been trading emails with Mark over the last couple days to get the ball rolling. I just got email confirmation of the offer last night for this year's group buy. I'm on lunch now, but I'll get a thread started this afternoon.
