I've been hanging out here since I got my 4runner December 2016.

33s came the other day and I think I'm in love. I went with the Grabber AT2s and I'm very happy with them so far. Haven't noticed too much rubbing so far. I may end up buying some 1/4" wheel spacers because the UCA is too close for my comfort.

I was worried that it would be a dog off the line. But it honestly doesn't seem much worse than typical 3rd gen sluggishness.

Also I found out that my lower control arm bushings are shot. Has anyone had any experience with the Energy Suspension poly bushings? I also heard good things about the Whiteline Bushings but cant seem to find them anywhere.

You won't notice much difference off the line with 33's and stock gearing. You'll notice it on hills and when crawling a lot more. Lot's of guys manage to not worry about it and keep the stock gear set. If you haven't yet take a look at your throttle cables. My truck has 248,000 miles on it and I run 295/70/r17's. A few months ago I took 5 minutes to properly adjust the throttle cables. It made a huge difference in off the line response. The AT2 is a great tire. It's what I had on my rig until going to the Nitto Ridge Grappler. Glad your digging them.

I used the spc lower control arm bushing kit. Lots of anti seize and they've been good to for 2 years so far. Cutting the factory ones was a huge PIA(bolts seized in sleeve), I'd recommend having a decent set of sawall blades on hand before starting. Energy bushings have been awesome everywhere else I've ran them but bought SPC because they were local and I needed them that day.

If you haven't yet take a look at your throttle cables. My truck has 248,000 miles on it and I run 295/70/r17's. A few months ago I took 5 minutes to properly adjust the throttle cables. It made a huge difference in off the line response.

Good to know. My truck seems to have a very stiff gas pedal which may also be related to the throttle cable so I'll be sure to check out that as well as the cruise control cable.

Let there be light

So I got a 42 inch amazon bar for Christmas.

I didn't feel like paying 100$ for brackets so I made my own out of a 8 inch gate hinge from Home Depot.

Bent that puppy at a couple different angles and it didn't look too shabby.

I'm gonna paint it gloss white before installing it and I think it'll look pretty good.

If you are doing it from your computer, then I usually have to manually open the image on Windows Photo Viewer, then click the rotate button. That will rotate the image. Then upload the image.
I've had images be at the correct rotation on my computer but once it uploads, it will rotate for some reason. so I do the same thing as above. Open the image is Windows Photo Viewer then rotate it 90* then rotate it back 90* to be the correct rotation. Not sure how i figured that out but it seems to work.

I see. I was looking for a rotate button within the forum tools but this explains why I didn't find one. Thanks a lot

I usually crop them down and it resizes the picture enough to upload correctly
