The Fuse Keeps Blowing

Hey all,

New to the forum as of today!!! I hope some of you can give me a hand.

I have a 99 4Runner, and I've been having a problem with the 15amp fuse in the engine fuse box that controls the radio, interior lights, etc.

No matter what the fuse blows instantly!

In January, I replaced the big 60 or 120 amp fuse in the engine fuse box, which required pulling out the fuse box and removing some screws to pull that thing out. Anywho, ever since that day, the radio and lights have been non-operational.

Anyway, is there anything that I can do to try and repair something like this, or should I leave it to the professionals?

Thanks for any help in advance,

E-Train

You have a dead short in the system somewhere. I'm guessing that when you unscrewed the fusebox and put it back down you pinched a wire under the box or ran a screw through one and caused a dead short.

Take the fuse box back off and while it's loose try putting another fuse in and see if it holds. If it does just be more careful when you screw it back down.
