Glad to see someone is putting your old motor to good use. Once day my 4runner with have a diesel motor in it! Just have to wait till I can afford the $17,000 price tag that comes a long with it lol

It doesn't really say what isn't finished, so who knows what it still needs. I was following his posts on that forum and he had it in and running before having to leave on a trip, that's all I can tell you. If you scroll through the classifieds on there, 2nd gens with 1KZ swaps are selling for around $15k.

My brother and I were kids from the 80's-90's and this thread reminds me of a scene from the Transformers cartoon era where the matrix gets ripped out of OPrime's chest, self sacrificing himself to save another :nerd:.

Awesome that your old surf may have a chance to live another day in new form...
