It looks like the top bolt of my passenger-side front shock came loose, and now my shock is completely broken. If I had checked it like I should have, I think I would have caught it before it became broken beyond repair. I have Icon coilovers and shocks on the way, since I don't feel like keeping XREAS and the system has 80k miles on it already. Pictures below :bash:

I'm surprised you did hear it. Any bumps should have cause some sort of metal on metal sounds or squeaks.

This is the third posts about problems with aftermarket front shocks slipping/popping off or breaking? What Toytec kit did you have, and how do you think this happened. Sorry about the loss, but hey I guess you get an upgrade now!

looks like stock shocks on toytec spacers.

Yep, stock shocks on Toytec spacers. I noticed a knocking noise coming from the front right which prompted me to check it, but at that point it was too late. I'm guessing the bolt just split because one minute it was fine, and the next minute it was knocking like crazy. But yeah, on the bright side I have an excuse to upgrade.

That's what I've been hearing! They get here tomorrow so I should be finished installing them by Friday. I also bought Camburg UCAs so I'm hoping those get here soon enough to do it all at once.
