The LFD Off Road Thread

I've got the new and improved fairing on mine. Drove out to New Mexico with speeds up to 80+ MPH (speed limit 80 mph on I-20 and I-10 between Monahans and El Paso) with virtually no wind noise.

Thinking about the side rails too as the stock side rails cut out probably 6 inches of space on each side. Might need the space if I ever decide to put Rotopax on top. That is if my assumptions are correct.

Monday? What's turnaround time? I have to convince my wife ASAP. Rack and Sliders and i'll be done for awhile haha.
I'd be curious about current lead times as well. Ordered my 7/8 aluminum rack just over three weeks ago, can't wait to install, gonna be great.

Revised 3/4 rack is back up on the website!

Lead times are averaging right about four weeks at the moment for racks, but I think we just started shipping orders from the week of June 24th.

Quick question on the Accessory Mounting Plate. Pictured it shows two, I assume that you have to buy two to make it look like the picture? Just wanted to make sure.

Yeah, that photo is from 007Tacoma, he was running two plates for two rotopax

Just ordered a set of cross bars. Folks at LFD were super helpful in answering all my questions!

Didn't have a need for a full rack or something larger than the factory rake so I'm super excited to try this option out!

anyone know if the wind fairing is compatible with the 2010-2013 crossbars? I dont see why it wouldn't besides width difference

Whats the total height of the 3/4 rack and also the weight? Any plans for an aluminum 3/4?
Thanks!

About 5" off the back of the roof. Don't have an exact weight on hand, Ill grab a weight this afternoon.

We will offer it in aluminum, next batch of aluminum side rails we release for cutting will have some of these new 3/4s in there.

Was I just chatting with you on the help desk?

It does not work with the regular one, the widths are too off. We do have one by custom request, we've only shipped two I think and haven't gotten any feedback on them though.

Yep. I have one mounted to my ladder now, and the other is mounted to the front of my roof rack. both are setup to carry fuel.

Two gallon tanks? Probably will have to put one on one side of the rack and leave the other side for my hi-lift jack. Don’t think it will fit on the side with the jack on a 3/4 length rack. Don’t really need a ladder.

Not sure what you have on your roof, but I had MAXTRAX, hi-lift, and two Rotopax on four of our early crossbars on the stock rails back in the day.

ETA Found a photo when it was just the one FuelPax. I had moved it backwards and got two 2 gallon RotoPax in that same spot.

ETA2 aww look, my Hi-lift was all new and un-used still. There's no paint left on the main body nowadays.

Looks like you could also fit a shovel in there?

Is there a way on the hybrid bumper to cover the winch line while not in use? I'm concerned about UV damage on synthetic line, but I dig that you can actually see the spooled line.
