Sorry for the late reply, I have been working a ton of overtime and working on very little sleep.
I have been checking everything out and have gotten some pricing from a few places including Total Automotive and also the current group buy thread offer.
Right now I am mainly considering how far down the rabbit hole in want to go as far as money. lol. I know I want a decent coilover up front, and there are plenty of good options. I am considering Boss, Icon, and King. There are pretty good deals running now for Icon and King. But for the rear, I had been considering just running a tried and true SS 1.2 rear lift. I like that it has a lot of options I want anyway. I like and have heard good things about their panhard bars, extended bumpstops and linkage they offer in their kit. And the 7 wraps and Tokico shocks are what they are. I know they offer a fair amount of lift and articulation. I have heard that while they don't shine in their weight carrying capacity, it sort of evens out with the extra height offered. So this is one moderate price point.
If I were to go with a full Icon or King set, then I would be stepping up quite a bit. Can you safely run 2.5 shocks out back without relocating them? From what I have gleamed from reading threads, moving their mounts is done to enhance performance. I just wanted to know if running them in the standard location would be a big deal. Depending on how overboard I decide to go, I could even go with rear 2.5 piggybackshocks with adjustable dampening.
As far as what I want to do offroad, I don't really see myself driving fast too much. I want to explore and do some camping / overlanding and what not. I just wonder if going with the upper tier suspension is going overboard for my needs.
How much are they different at slower speeds?
Anybody run a nice coilover up front with a SS 1.2 rear?
