Maintenance

So since I've gotten my truck I've always thought it was pretty bad on gas. I decided I should take care of some maintenance stuff since this truck is 16 years old.

I went ahead and ordered a few things off rockauto

(excuse the horrible exchange rate we have)

Did a lot of research and went with NGK factory spark plugs and NGK TE66 ignition coils that every seems to recommend. I also ordered Denso 234-4162 upstream o2 sensor (this is the part needed for auto transmission vs 234-4161 = manual transmission). Doing all this as preventative maintenance and hopefully get some better gas mileage our of it.

We also had our first snow fall here in Toronto yesterday. Gave me an opportunity to see the behavior of the 4runner in 2wd and 4x4 with these Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10s. I'm quite impressed with the performance of these tires, in 2wd it gets tail happy with throttle but very manageable and predictable (even did a few donuts and power slides in an empty parking lot). You can really feel the tires trying to bite with smooth input of the throttle and it hooks right up even on a hill. In 4x4 it was completely different, just felt as if i were driving on dry pavement minus braking and turns.
