Yes, that's what I did! No, it won't mess up the shocks at all, they were designed to be ran at all 3 settings. A better setup than mine would be a 2" lift coil with the shock set at the 1" setting, but I'm cheap and the 5th gen coils were free! lol No, it won't mess up the shocks to run them at the 2.5" setting, or they wouldn't have designed them with a 2.5" setting, or at least that's how I see it!

Cool. I was concerned running the fronts at 2.5" plus the 1" coil lift. Thought that it would reduce the life of the shock and alter the stockish ride since its extended an extra inch on top of the 2.5". At least that is what I think is happening...Correct me if I'm wrong on that. So you went up 3.5" in the front and 2" on the rear just with the coils correct? Your lift suggestion would be a 3" lift in the front and 2"coil lift in the rear? Would I still have the rake though? Did you need UCA's for alignment or anything else besides the shocks and coils?

Thanks so much! I'm gonna be honest here... I haven't went and got the alignment re-done since I added the 5th gen coils! I need to... just haven't got around to doing it yet! lol I'm fairly certain it will align just fine though.

Just added WabFab extended rear sway end links, 1.25" SpiderTrax Spacers for a better look and wider track-width, and OEM Toyota rotors and pads.

I recently enlisted the help of a buddy to help me build custom mounts for the Rola rack so I could ditch the factory rails and the janky u-bolts! He also welded the 3 pieces together into one solid rack for me! Looks much better and is 1000Xs stronger now!
Nice love how this mounts up... did he make the block that mounts also?

Yes, the blocks started out as 3/4" plate steel, which were rough cut out with a plasma cutter, then cleaned up and squared up on a manual lathe.

I have not had that issue. Maybe the window seals are worn? But that would not explain why the water doesn't drain out. Weird.

You have single-handedly changed my opinion on the look of this style rack. The extension alone makes it look a lot better even just on the factory rack but the custom mounts just take it to the next level.

It does look pretty damn good. I had this one for the longest time on my 4Runner with the U-bolts. Took it off for gas mileage, since I barely used it.
Moving to Denver soon though, so I'll need to invest in some rack.

I really like you build! I saw you went to the Ozark national forest, how do you like it? I was there recently and thought it was great aside from all the trails that were shut down. Have you noticed trails being closed on your trips up there?
