Is there a reason why you didn't paint them white and use the white version of the light? Wanted them to match the blackout emblems?

Thanks! I went with black partly because I was itching to try some spray-can bedliner on something, and I also wanted to maintain some contrast on the back bumper. I also figured it'd bother me that the white lights/plates wouldn't match the ever-so-slightly different "Natural White" paint on the truck.

Finally got around to doing some work on this. Removed the original lenses, used epoxy to glue the new pieces in, drilled the back for access, did a skin coat of kitty hair, sanded and then skinned with some bondo. I'm hoping that since I'm going to dip them that it won't need to be perfectly smooth

Looking good man! The Bondo should give the 3D printed parts some added strength if nothing else. Wish I had some clamps like that when I was adhering mine to the housings.

Thanks bro. Yeah, the kitty hair definitely reinforced them. And those clamps rock. Got them from amazon... Probably use them at least once a week.

This is where they're at now. I'll prolly lay down some primer so I can identify the rest of the imperfections then I'll dip. Still need to work on the wiring too. Did you run a relay? I'm not sure what kind of amperage these pull.

I used this harness and extended the output leads using the female DT pigtails that came with the harness, the male DT pigtails that came with the LED cubes, and some of this wire.

Got the wiring done tonight and added a top coat so the plasti dip will be easier to remove in the future.

I'll dip them tomorrow and should have finished pics up on Friday.

Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to have a more cohesive look so I decided to dip.

Here's the finished pics... They look great! I am going to be dipping the silver insert and the emblems the same gun metal color, just haven't gotten around to it. Thanks for hooking it up TiN!
