Well crap, took it to a glass shop to get the windshield replaced (Yay colorado glass pitting and horrible glare driving into the sun). Tech pulls me out to the bay and pulls some of that weatherstripping up and shows me some paint bubbling on my driver A pillar. Researched a few threads and I'm getting scared. Pulled weather stripping up in few spots and it's only obvious on that driver A pillar, nothing on the passenger BUT there is what looks like some black vinyl tape in spots on the top which I suspect was a bandaid. I guess it seems I won't know how bad it is until I pull the windshield this is my only personal vehicle currently :*( Seems like there are two options, welding a donor in (something tells me a clean donor will be extremely hard to find) or cleaning it up and using por15 if it's not too bad. And I'm also seeing lots of posts of shops doing really shoddy work if I was to go that route (on top of it being expensive as hell, like almost half the value of the truck currently). I really really really don't want to just give up on it though. One of the reason I bought this was because the frame was so incredibly clean. Anything I'm missing? Should I just go ahead and pull the trim? It sounds like that trim holding water in and possibly a bad previous install scraping paint started the whole thing in the first place.
